What You'll Do9

  • 1Perform as an Associate Computer Systems Analyst (Windows/Linux) providing front line support for internal customers via ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA
  • 2Demonstrate ownership by proactively identifying issues documenting recommendations and following through to resolution under supervision
  • 3Assist in defining system parameters and configurations aligning with architecture standards including hardware software compatibility checks and procedural improvements
  • 4Support system patching and configuration management using WSUS antivirus endpoint sensors vulnerability scanners STIG checklists and GPO updates
  • 5Monitor backups storage capacity server health logging tools like Splunk and network connectivity escalating issues and preparing audit evidence
  • 6Build refresh and decommission workstations and servers or VMs according to documented procedures
  • 7Communicate technical issues clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders collaborating with engineers and project leaders
  • 8Safely lift and move IT equipment typically up to 50 pounds working in a secure classified facility
  • 9Own A&A activities and contribute data to security audits and assessments

Requirements9

  • 1Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity Information Systems or related field
  • 2Fundamental understanding of Windows Server and Windows client operating systems Linux command line basics networking concepts IP addressing subnets routing VLANs
  • 3Ability to follow documented technical procedures apply basic principles and document work in ticketing systems
  • 4Strong written and verbal communication skills explaining technical issues to nontechnical audiences
  • 5Active DoD Secret clearance at time of hire meeting U.S. Government 8140 requirements for System Administrator Basic CompTIA A+ EC‑Council Certified Network Defender or CompTIA Network+
  • 6Willingness to work on‑site full time in a classified environment supporting after‑hours weekend work
  • 7Experience safely handling IT equipment typically up to 50 pounds
  • 8Preferred: 1+ year hands‑on support for Windows Server or Linux systems exposure to virtualization storage platforms scripting automation with PowerShell Bash or Python virtualization storage technologies such as VMware ESXi Hyper‑V NAS SAN and scripting automation tools
  • 9Familiarity with WSUS Nessus Splunk SolarWinds or HBSS for patching monitoring and vulnerability management CompTIA Security+ CE preferred experience with PowerShell Bash or Python exposure to VMware ESXi Hyper‑V NAS SAN and scripting automation
