Staff C2E Software Architect Northrop Grumman
Overview
Design and field deploy multi level systems spanning cloud edge and government furnished hardware/software. Own end to end architecture for cross domain and multi level security solutions. Guide cloud migration to Microsoft Azure. Lead technical teams through concept development integration and operational sustainment.
What You'll Do23
- 1Elicit write and prioritize functional requirements
- 2Translate functional requirements into hardware and software architectures defining all interfaces
- 3Support cameo systems modeling by guiding activity internal block diagram and block definition diagram models
- 4Convert limited cyber requirements into detailed design artifacts using JSIG NIST standards
- 5Architect zero trust networks role based access control and identity and access management workflows
- 6Design content security policy ground segment and data center architecture for on prem hybrid edge and CSP integrated solutions
- 7Define processing levels cross domain interfaces and data filtering mechanisms for multi level and cross domain solutions
- 8Develop micro segmentation resiliency network security operations center planning capabilities
- 9Implement automation and infrastructure as code using ansible terraform power shell python etc for repeatable provisioning
- 10Own continuous integration deployment pipelines building testing and deploying software and infrastructure across the lifecycle
- 11Plan and execute integration tests creating test plans validating data flows verifying real time command paths
- 12Leverage open system architectures for mission critical software
- 13Deploy docker kubernetes vmware hyper v kvm in hardened environments
- 14Integrate do d grade secure boot components and co ts hardened secure boot systems
- 15Serve as lead engineer ip t lead technical manager and mentor for junior staff
- 16Apply defense aerospace missile and mission critical c2 systems domain expertise
- 17Architect secure distributed solutions focusing on cross domain security red black architectures
- 18Maintain us government top secret clearance and special access program within reasonable time
- 19Lead multi disciplinary technical teams managing large scale ipts
- 20Prefer cloud platforms aws including govcloud and google cloud platform database management relational nosql virtualization vdi hypervisor deployments and vdi
- 21Follow nist jsig nsa dod cyber risk frameworks
- 22Demonstrate leadership agile combat employment philosophical understanding of system employment
- 23Pursue preferred qualifications including certified cloud architect certifications and cispss or dod 8510.01
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor degree in stem from accredited university plus 12 years experience or stem master with 10 years or stem phd with 8 years
- 28+ years architecting secure distributed solutions with core technical expertise in cross domain solutions multi level security red black
- 3Proficiency in micro segmentation resiliency network security operations center planning and container vm deployment
- 4Ability to obtain and maintain us government top secret clearance and sap within reasonable time
- 5Strong leadership skills leading multi disciplinary technical teams managing large scale ipts
- 6Experience with defense aerospace missile and mission critical c2 systems
- 7Familiarity with nist jsig nsa dod security frameworks and dod 8510.01
- 8Certification in cloud platforms such as aws gcp or azure
- 9Knowledge of devops and automation tools including ansible terraform power shell python and ci cd tooling like gitlab jenkins azure devops
- 10Understanding of zero trust architecture and iam rbac models
- 11Experience with edge ground segment data center design on prem hybrid multi cloud
- 12Exposure to co ts hardened secure boot components and agile combat employment concepts
