What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain access controls for the EHR system to enforce RBAC
- 2Design and execute security audits to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation
- 3Develop and enforce security policies and guidelines for the EHR environment
- 4Coordinate with security tools such as firewalls IDS/IPS and encryption mechanisms
- 5Oversee user provisioning and de-provisioning ensuring correct access levels
- 6Investigate security incidents and coordinate breach response with clinical IT and legal
- 7Collaborate with implementation teams to embed security in new features and third-party integrations
- 8Participate in governance and reporting on EHR security posture
- 9Stay current on emerging threats and apply improvements to the EHR security environment
- 10Perform risk assessments on new modules or integrations with mitigation strategies
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in information technology computer science cybersecurity or related field
- 23-5 years of IT security experience preferably in healthcare
- 3Experience with EHR systems and HIPAA HITECH compliance
- 4Knowledge of RBAC identity management and data encryption in healthcare
- 5Security certifications such as CISSP CISM HCISPP are desirable
