What You'll Do5
- 1Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for a full patient caseload in acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient clinics, documenting findings for treatment planning.
- 2Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address communication and swallowing disorders.
- 3Administer therapeutic interventions to patients and train family members on home programs to support continued progress.
- 4Document all patient interactions including daily progress notes, evaluations, and discharge summaries within 24 hours.
- 5Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure integrated care and smooth transitions across settings.
Requirements5
- 1Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- 2ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required.
- 3Pennsylvania State License in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- 4BLS and CPR certification via AHA required.
- 50-2 years of clinical practice in speech-language pathology required; 1 year preferred.
