Speech Language Pathologist, Pediatric
Overview
Own the full therapy cycle for infants to young adults at The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh. You will diagnose, treat, and manage pediatric speech and language disorders at our Squirrel Hill location. CCC-SLP certification and PA licensure are essential. What You'll Do6
- 1Evaluate patients' functional abilities and disabilities using objective tests and standardized assessment tools
- 2Develop measurable functional goals and treatment plans with patient and family input
- 3Implement treatment plans, adjusting goals and interventions based on objective data and patient response
- 4Drive therapy frequency and duration decisions using clinical and financial considerations
- 5Plan for discharge from day one, initiating discharge when goals are met
- 6Assess and recommend assistive technology to support patient communication
Requirements6
- 1Master's degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program
- 2Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- 3Pennsylvania licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure
- 4Experience with pediatric populations preferred
- 5CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided)
- 6Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
