Speech Language Pathologist, Flexible Senior Living Support

Join our Flex Team as a Speech Language Pathologist and deliver clinical services to residents across multiple senior living sites. You will own assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, helping elders achieve their personal goals. What You'll Do10
- 1Perform assessments and diagnoses, then develop treatment plans for language and swallowing disorders using SLP techniques.
- 2Evaluate levels of swallowing, speech, and language difficulty and identify appropriate treatment options per resident needs.
- 3Create individualized treatment plans that address each resident's specific functional needs and personal goals, using CPR care standards.
- 4Teach residents techniques to improve sound production, voice, and fluency, tailoring methods to each person's preferences.
- 5Set goals and objectives with residents, celebrating progress and working through challenges together.
- 6Provide support and advice to residents, caregivers, and family members with warmth and patience, fostering trust.
- 7Counsel residents and families on coping strategies for swallowing and communication disorders.
- 8Build strong relationships with residents over time, showing genuine interest in their personalities and lives.
- 9Document resident care services and progress notes according to medical and facility procedures.
- 10Collaborate closely with fellow team members to maintain an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.
Requirements10
- 12-3 years of related experience in a clinical setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2Current Speech Language Pathologist state license required.
- 3CPR certification required.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and social perceptiveness.
- 5Proven relationship building and compassionate instruction, with genuine appreciation for individuality and diverse life experiences.
- 6Critical thinking, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
- 7Time management and service orientation.
- 8Ability to work collaboratively as part of a therapy team.
- 9Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist residents, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- 10Must communicate clearly in person and over the phone, with adequate visual acuity for resident exams and computer work.
