Overview
You will support a lead teacher in a Pre K classroom at Kenilworth KinderCare, guiding 20 children through a play-based curriculum. You will partner with a team of 5 educators and report to the center director. This role offers a CDA credential path and paid training.
What You'll Do6
- 1Implement KinderCare's curriculum and state Pre-K guidelines for 20 children, adapting activities to individual needs.
- 2Build strong partnerships with parents through daily updates and conferences, sharing each child's progress.
- 3Maintain a safe, engaging classroom that meets NAEYC and state licensing standards.
- 4Support center goals for enrollment and accreditation by welcoming families and showcasing the program.
- 5Collaborate with center staff and leadership to plan events and improve classroom quality.
- 6Track child development milestones and adjust teaching strategies to foster social, physical, verbal, and cognitive growth.
Requirements6
- 1Hold a CDA or P3 certification, or meet NAEYC and state Pre-K candidacy requirements.
- 21+ year of childcare experience in a licensed center or school setting.
- 3Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple classroom situations.
- 4Communicate fluently in English to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- 5Physically able to kneel, sit on the floor, and engage in active play with children.
- 6Pass a background check and meet state-specific Pre-K guidelines.
