Special Events Paramedic, EMT-P & Emergency Care
Overview
As a Special Events Paramedic at LifeLine Ambulance, you will provide on-site medical care to large crowds at concerts, sporting events, and more across the Chicagoland area. You will operate under Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders, responding to emergencies with advanced life support measures. This role offers overtime opportunities, on-site continuing education, and a family culture built on open communication. What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver pre-hospital patient care per Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders at various special events.
- 2Respond to emergency medical situations, assessing patient condition and determining treatment courses.
- 3Administer medications and perform basic or advanced life support as outlined in Region XI CNEMS Standing Medical Orders.
- 4Maintain composure in high-stress environments to execute life-saving procedures effectively.
- 5Collaborate with event staff and emergency personnel to ensure seamless medical coverage.
- 6Document patient care and interventions accurately for continuity of care.
- 7Ensure readiness of medical equipment and supplies before each event.
- 8Adhere to safety protocols and IDPH regulations at all times.
Requirements9
- 1Illinois Department of Public Health Licensure as a Paramedic.
- 2Current CPR card (AHA BLS CPR Certificate required).
- 3Successful completion of Region XI CNEMS Paramedic System Entry process.
- 418 years of age or older.
- 5High School Diploma or GED.
- 6Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- 7Consent to a criminal background check.
- 8Ability to lift/push/pull at least 150+ lbs.
- 9Preferred: ACLS, PHTLS, or ITLS certificates.
