Overview
Special Education teachers needed on a full-year contract in Philadelphia PA for 2026-2027 school year. You will work in a resource-rich classroom supporting learners with diverse needs. This is a W2 contract with a cooperative team and access to specialized tools. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinicians and educators to foster foundational skills.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build collaborative relationships with students, families, and the school team to support individualized education plans.
- 2Design and implement instructional plans for Special Education students across elementary and middle school levels.
- 3Deliver evidence-based instruction in multiple settings to support reading and behavior growth.
- 4Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to improve outcomes within the first 90 days.
- 5Lead small groups and pull-out sessions to address targeted learning goals.
- 6Document student progress accurately and communicate outcomes to caregivers and staff.
- 7Collaborate with general education teachers to align supports and minimize barriers to learning.
- 8Utilize classroom tools and technology to monitor progress and outcomes.
- 9Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture that advances at-risk learners
- 10Support the transition planning and ongoing development of students with diverse needs.
Requirements5
- 1PA Instructional I or Instructional II Certification
- 2Special Education endorsement
- 3Previous experience or strong clinical interest in middle school special needs students
- 4New grads who completed student teaching are welcome to apply
- 5Must be fully licensed or on track to be licensed before the 2026-2027 school year
