Solution Architect, Home Lending Data & FR Y-14M
Overview
You will own the architecture for a strategic Home Lending Data Modernization Program, building a cloud-based data ecosystem that supports FR Y-14M regulatory reporting and enterprise analytics. You will define the target-state architecture, including the foundational data model, cloud migration strategy, and integration architecture. You will lead a team of engineers and data modelers, driving the program from concept to delivery. This role offers the chance to shape a multi-year roadmap and directly influence regulatory reporting accuracy.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design the target-state architecture for the Home Lending data ecosystem, defining the physical and logical data models on AWS.
- 2Lead the design of cloud migration strategies, re-platforming legacy on-premises data warehouses to Snowflake and S3.
- 3Architect integration solutions using Kafka and API Gateway to enable real-time data ingestion from core lending systems.
- 4Define the data governance framework, including data lineage, metadata management, and access controls using Collibra.
- 5Drive the implementation of the FR Y-14M reporting solution, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- 6Partner with data engineering teams to build ELT pipelines using dbt and Airflow, optimizing for performance and cost.
- 7Evaluate and select technologies for the data platform, documenting architectural decisions and trade-offs.
- 8Lead architecture reviews and guide development teams in adopting best practices for data modeling and cloud-native design.
Requirements8
- 18+ years in solution architecture or data architecture, with 3+ years in the home lending or financial services domain.
- 25+ years designing data solutions on AWS, including S3, Redshift, and Glue.
- 33+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt for data warehousing and transformation.
- 4Deep understanding of FR Y-14M regulatory reporting requirements and data lineage.
- 55+ years architecting data integration solutions using Kafka, REST APIs, and Lambda.
- 6Proven experience in data governance tools like Collibra or Informatica.
- 74+ years experience with data modeling approaches, including 3NF and Star Schema.
- 8Excellent communication skills, translating complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders.
