Data Architect, Enterprise Cloud & Data Platforms
Overview
You own the technical and solution architecture for the Revenue Technology ecosystem, spanning Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake. You align the data platform strategy with business goals while leading a team of engineers and analysts. You design ETL pipelines and data lake solutions that scale across the enterprise. This role also involves managing vendor relationships and ensuring data governance and security.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead the design of end-to-end data architecture on Azure and Databricks, ensuring scalability and cost efficiency.
- 2Define the data lake and data warehouse strategy, integrating Snowflake for analytical workloads.
- 3Drive the adoption of medallion architecture patterns to structure raw, refined, and curated data layers.
- 4Collaborate with engineering teams to establish ETL best practices using Spark and Delta Lake.
- 5Own the data governance framework, aligning with Collibra for metadata management and compliance.
- 6Design streaming solutions using Kafka for real-time data processing.
- 7Translate business requirements into technical blueprints for API integrations and microservices.
- 8Mentor data engineers and analysts, setting standards for coding, testing, and deployment.
- 9Partner with vendors to evaluate and implement new data tooling and cloud services.
- 10Present architecture decisions to executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
Requirements10
- 110+ years in data architecture or solution architecture roles with a focus on cloud platforms.
- 25+ years designing and deploying data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
- 3Experience with Snowflake and data warehouse design, including Star Schema and Snowflake modeling.
- 4Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
- 5In-depth knowledge of ETL frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- 6Hands-on experience with Kafka or Spark Streaming for real-time data ingestion.
- 7Proven track record implementing data governance with tools like Collibra or DataHub.
- 8Expertise in designing data lakes and medallion architecture on Azure Data Lake Storage.
- 9Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in vendor assessments.
- 10Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's preferred.
