Data Architect, Cloud Data Platforms
Overview
You will own the end-to-end data architecture across the organization, defining storage, integration, and consumption patterns for scalable, trustworthy data. You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers and analysts, modernizing legacy pipelines into cloud-native solutions. This role sits at the center of business and technology strategy, translating requirements into robust data models. You will set the technical vision for data governance and access, directly influencing products across the company.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement scalable data architectures on AWS and Azure for new and existing systems.
- 2Own the integration of Snowflake, Databricks, and Apache Spark into the enterprise data ecosystem.
- 3Develop and enforce data governance frameworks to ensure security, privacy, and compliance.
- 4Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost, tuning SQL, Python, and ETL processes.
- 5Lead the migration of on-premises data warehouses to cloud-based platforms like Redshift and BigQuery.
- 6Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define data models for business intelligence and analytics.
- 7Create and maintain data flow diagrams and architecture documentation for stakeholders.
- 8Evaluate and recommend new data tools and technologies to improve efficiency and reliability.
Requirements8
- 18+ years designing enterprise data architectures with SQL and ETL tools.
- 25+ years hands-on with cloud data platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- 33+ years working with Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
- 4Strong proficiency in Python and Spark for data processing.
- 5Experience with Kafka, Airflow, or similar stream and orchestration tools.
- 6Deep understanding of data modeling, including star schemas and 3NF.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8Proven track record of aligning data strategy with business outcomes.
