Overview
You will own the design and evolution of cloud-based data architecture for a 6-month onsite engagement in San Jose. You will set the technical foundation for scalable, secure data platforms, working hands-on with AWS, Azure, and GCP ecosystems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business goals. This role stands out for its focus on hybrid cloud strategy and real-time data processing.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement cloud-native data architectures on AWS, Azure, and GCP for petabyte-scale analytics.
- 2Build and optimize data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, and Airflow to handle streaming and batch data.
- 3Lead the migration of on-premises data warehouses to Snowflake and Redshift, ensuring zero downtime.
- 4Define data governance and security policies, including encryption and access controls, for HIPAA and GDPR compliance.
- 5Collaborate with data scientists to deploy ML models into production using Kubernetes and Docker.
- 6Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
- 7Monitor and tune query performance on BigQuery and Synapse for sub-second response times.
- 8Mentor junior engineers on cloud architecture best practices and DevOps workflows.
Requirements9
- 17+ years in cloud data architecture, with 3+ years focused on AWS and Azure.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; master's preferred.
- 35+ years designing and implementing ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow.
- 4Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery in production environments.
- 53+ years working with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized data workloads.
- 6Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation scripts.
- 7Experience with Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
- 8Strong knowledge of data security and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- 92+ years leading cloud migration projects from on-premise to AWS or Azure.
Salary Insight
