Overview
You will lead the architecture and design of a strategic Home Lending Data Modernization Program. You will build a scalable cloud data ecosystem on AWS supporting FR Y-14M regulatory reporting and enterprise analytics. Your work will enable self-service data consumption across the organization. You will define the target-state architecture, cloud migration strategy, and governance framework. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design the target-state architecture for the Home Lending Data Modernization Program, integrating AWS services and modern data modeling.
- 2Define the foundational Home Lending data model to support FR Y-14M reporting and analytics.
- 3Drive cloud migration strategy from legacy on-premises systems to a scalable AWS data ecosystem.
- 4Architect integration patterns using Apache Kafka, Glue, and Lambda for real-time and batch data flows.
- 5Establish data governance and security frameworks, including IAM policies and KMS encryption.
- 6Lead technical design reviews and mentor data engineers on AWS and data modeling best practices.
- 7Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
- 8Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost, leveraging S3, Redshift, and EMR.
- 9Deliver a roadmap for self-service analytics using QuickSight and Athena.
Requirements8
- 15+ years as a Solution Architect or Data Architect, leading large-scale data modernization projects.
- 25+ years hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, and Kafka.
- 33+ years experience with FR Y-14M regulatory reporting or similar banking regulations.
- 4Strong expertise in data modeling, including ERwin or Erwin Data Modeler.
- 53+ years experience with Snowflake or Databricks in a cloud environment.
- 64+ years experience with Python or SQL for data processing and pipeline development.
- 7Experience with governance tools like Collibra or Alation.
- 8AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification preferred.
