Overview
You own the conceptual, logical, and physical data models for the Home Lending and FR Y-14M reporting domains. You define standardized, scalable structures within the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem. You collaborate with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, and data architects to align model design with compliance needs. You bridge business requirements and SQL-driven implementations. This role leads model governance and drives consistency across regulatory reporting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for FR Y-14M reporting, ensuring alignment with business definitions and regulatory requirements.
- 2Partner with data architects and cloud engineers to implement models on Google Cloud Platform using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
- 3Translate complex business rules into SQL-friendly model structures that support downstream reporting and analytics.
- 4Drive data model reviews with governance teams to enforce naming conventions and metadata standards.
- 5Build and maintain a model repository that tracks changes, versions, and lineage across the reporting lifecycle.
- 6Collaborate with data engineers to optimize ETL pipelines for model loading and transformation.
- 7Analyze source data from loan origination and servicing systems to identify gaps and ensure completeness for FR Y-14M submissions.
- 8Lead modeling sessions with business analysts to capture reporting requirements and convert them into entity-relationship diagrams.
Requirements7
- 17+ years in data modeling, with a strong background in ERwin or ER/Studio.
- 25+ years working with SQL in Teradata or Oracle environments.
- 33+ years modeling for regulatory reporting, specifically FR Y-14M or similar.
- 4Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services: BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
- 5Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry with knowledge of Home Lending data.
- 6Familiarity with data governance principles and metadata management tools.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
