Senior Data Modeler, Asset & Wealth Management
Overview
You will design and maintain logical, canonical, and physical data models for asset, wealth management, and financial advice domains. Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and architects to translate complex financial requirements into scalable, governed models. This role focuses on Data Governance and Data Management lead responsibilities, ensuring data integrity and alignment across ERP, CRM, and data warehouse systems. What You'll Do10
- 1Build logical, canonical, and physical data models using ERwin and ER/Studio, including conceptual ERDs and dimensional/star schemas.
- 2Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture financial profile, advisor team, securities, holdings, performance, and risk requirements.
- 3Drive data governance policies for metadata management and data lineage, ensuring compliance with BCBS 239 and GDPR.
- 4Lead data modeling reviews with data engineers to optimize Snowflake and Azure Synapse schemas.
- 5Own the mapping of source systems to target models, utilizing Data Vault 2.0 and Kimball methodologies.
- 6Implement master data management (MDM) for customer and product domains, aligning with CDMC standards.
- 7Develop and enforce data quality rules using Informatica and Collibra.
- 8Design semantic layers in Power BI and Tableau for self-service reporting.
- 9Document data dictionary and business glossary entries for financial domains.
- 10Mentor junior modelers on 3NF and star schema best practices.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of data modeling experience in asset management or wealth management.
- 23+ years with Erwin or ER/Studio for logical and physical design.
- 3Hands-on SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle or SQL Server.
- 4Experience with Snowflake and Azure Synapse for cloud data platforms.
- 5Strong data governance background with Collibra or Informatica.
- 6Knowledge of BCBS 239 and GDPR compliance.
- 7Familiarity with Data Vault 2.0 and Kimball methodologies.
- 8Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for reporting models.
- 9Excellent communication for stakeholder collaboration.
- 10Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
