Technical Lead, Data Governance & Cloud Platforms
Overview
Own the design and delivery of data governance solutions for the SEI Wealth Platform, including archive, purge, masking, and data sub-setting. You will lead a team of developers, partnering with architects, operations, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure data pipelines using PLSQL, Java, Spring Boot, and Kubernetes. This role requires a blend of engineering depth and technical leadership, with a focus on cloud-native patterns and Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow. You will drive architectural decisions, ensure code quality, and implement monitoring and validation controls to guarantee data accuracy and traceability. What You'll Do10
- 1Develop and design technical solutions for the SWP Data Governance Frameworks, including data archive, purge, masking, and data sub-setting.
- 2Define and implement data governance patterns for retention, lineage, metadata, and auditability across the platform.
- 3Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural direction for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
- 4Partner with data architects, platform teams, security, and business stakeholders to validate solution design and delivery approach.
- 5Build validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and monitoring controls to ensure data accuracy and traceability.
- 6Support operational readiness by creating runbooks, support procedures, and production monitoring dashboards.
- 7Produce high-quality code that meets project deadlines and aligns with requirements and industry standards.
- 8Analyze and resolve issues found during testing or pre-production phases, coordinating changes with project leaders.
- 9Provide technical leadership to team members, addressing errors and questions, and mentoring developers.
- 10Suggest and implement process improvements for estimating, development, and testing processes.
Requirements10
- 1BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- 27+ years of application development experience, delivering systems from inception to implementation.
- 35+ years developing with PLSQL, Java, Spring Boot, and shell scripting.
- 43+ years implementing Kubernetes frameworks and deploying cloud-native applications.
- 52+ years working with large data flows using Oracle external tables and knowledge of Oracle data pumps.
- 62+ years designing and delivering cloud-based multi-tiered applications, including data pipelines with Snowflake, DBT, and Airflow.
- 7Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server), unstructured data (MongoDB, Snowflake), and DevOps tools (Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven).
- 8Proficiency in job orchestration (Control M, Apache Airflow), event/data streaming (Kafka), and monitoring (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana).
- 9Hands-on experience with Angular and Spring MVC development, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.
- 10Knowledge of data masking, tokenization, encryption, access controls, and secure data lifecycle management.
