Solution Architect, AWS Infrastructure & Kubernetes
Overview
You will design and engineer enterprise infrastructure solutions on AWS, covering compute, storage, networking, database, security/IAM, and Kubernetes platforms. You will collaborate with Application Architects and development teams to translate logical designs into secure, scalable, highly available systems. This role demands deep technical leadership and hands-on implementation, driving architectural decisions across the stack. You will own the infrastructure blueprint for critical projects, ensuring reliability and performance at scale.
What You'll Do8
- 1Architect and deploy AWS solutions for compute, storage, and networking, optimizing for cost and performance.
- 2Design secure identity and access management (IAM) policies and shared services infrastructure.
- 3Build and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- 4Collaborate with application teams to define infrastructure requirements and translate them into robust designs.
- 5Drive the adoption of infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 6Evaluate and integrate new AWS services to enhance system resilience and efficiency.
- 7Lead technical reviews and provide guidance on best practices for cloud architecture.
- 8Document architectural decisions and create reference implementations for development teams.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or similar role designing enterprise infrastructure.
- 2Deep expertise in AWS compute, storage, networking, database, and security/IAM.
- 3Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- 4Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- 5Experience with AWS shared services and landing zone design.
- 6Familiarity with agile development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- 7Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- 8Local to Dallas, Tampa, or Jersey City, with ability to work onsite.
