Senior Solutions Architect | Cloud & Enterprise Architecture
Overview
You will own the architectural vision for complex client solutions, designing cloud-based and on-premises components that scale to enterprise demands. Working within a $30+ billion global technology leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, product, and delivery to shape strategies. Your expertise in TOGAF, Zachman, and Cisco CCIE will drive innovation and mentor junior architects. This role differentiates with direct client engagement and a hybrid work model in San Jose, California.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design complex solution architectures for enterprise clients, specifying cloud and on-premises tiers and interfaces using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- 2Evaluate alternative architectures, balancing trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability to recommend optimal approaches.
- 3Produce detailed technical plans and design components that comply with TOGAF and ITIL standards, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
- 4Lead client requirements gathering and analysis, translating business needs into actionable architectural blueprints.
- 5Create multiple design views (functional, non-functional, and POC) to address stakeholder concerns and validate feasibility.
- 6Monitor emerging technologies and create technology roadmaps, sharing insights with internal teams to guide future solutions.
- 7Review and improve design specifications against requirements, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
- 8Mentor less experienced Solutions Architects, fostering skill development in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
- 9Develop go-to-market services by contributing vertical-specific knowledge and collaborating with sales and product teams.
Requirements10
- 18-10 years of experience as an architect in large-scale, multi-national technology environments.
- 2Advanced knowledge of multi-vendor service integrations and cross-functional software, OS, and infrastructure designs.
- 3Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or business, or equivalent experience.
- 4Certification or working knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies: TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT.
- 5Cisco Certified Expert (CCIE) in Networking, Datacenter, or Security preferred.
- 6Advanced experience in integrating solutions with business domains, industry standards, and established patterns.
- 7Advanced experience in agile development environments and working with cross-functional teams.
- 8Solid client engagement and consulting experience, including needs assessment and change management.
- 9Advanced experience in developing, selling, and delivering technical solutions.
- 10Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong stakeholder relationships.
