Overview
Mercor is looking for senior social work professionals to help train AI systems that operate in large human-services and clinical settings. You'll design realistic case scenarios, draft model answers, and build scoring rubrics that capture how seasoned practitioners think. This remote, hourly role pays $40–$50/hr and draws on frontline expertise in areas like child welfare, healthcare social work, and behavioral health. Your work will directly shape how AI handles complex, sensitive client situations.
What You'll Do5
- 1Create social work scenarios that span complex case assessments, multi-stakeholder care coordination, and crisis intervention or mandated reporting cycles.
- 2Develop tasks across clinical social work practice, child and family welfare, healthcare/medical social work, substance use and mental health services, and community-based case management.
- 3Build practice situations involving tools such as EHR, CCWIS, risk and needs assessment instruments, and interagency referral platforms.
- 4Apply frameworks like biopsychosocial assessment, trauma-informed care, strengths-based practice, and the NASW Code of Ethics to produce reference case plans, clinical documentation, and interdisciplinary team communications.
- 5Write rubrics that distinguish authentic clinical and ethical judgment from generic textbook or policy-manual recall.
Requirements4
- 1At least 5 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW/LMSW) or senior case management professional in a hospital system, child welfare agency, behavioral health organization, or large nonprofit.
- 2Direct ownership of clinical caseloads, family/child welfare cases, or program-level service delivery.
- 3Solid understanding of real-world social work practice standards and case management tooling, including how mandated reporting, interagency coordination, and ethical/legal compliance actually work.
- 4Prior experience writing rubrics, clinical training curricula, or case documentation is a plus.
