Site Director for Extended School Program
Overview
As Site Director, you will own the daily operations of the ESP at Clark Memorial, ensuring safe, engaging before and after school care for school-age children. You will lead a team of Care Givers, manage parent communications, and maintain financial records with precision. This role places you at the heart of the school community, coordinating activities that make a real difference in children's lives. With direct responsibility for emergency drills and state ratio compliance, you will ensure a secure environment. You will collaborate with the Multi-Site Coordinator and own the site's success. What You'll Do10
- 1Lead before and after school activities for individual and small groups of children, building a safe and engaging environment.
- 2Operate and maintain program equipment, ensuring all tools are safe and ready for daily use.
- 3Develop and distribute parent communications, keeping families informed with clear and timely updates.
- 4Conduct and document emergency drills monthly, ensuring all children and staff know evacuation procedures.
- 5Own financial records for the program, issuing receipts, tracking fees, and making timely deposits.
- 6Track daily attendance and complete the monthly reconciliation report for the Multi-Site Coordinator.
- 7Coordinate site-based activities that meet the developmental needs of children before and after school.
- 8Supervise children in the lunchroom, on the playground, and during bus loading, maintaining safety at all times.
- 9Design activity plans and schedules for Care Givers to follow, ensuring a consistent daily flow.
- 10Schedule and supervise staff to maintain state-regulated adult-to-child ratios at all times.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of experience in childcare or youth programming.
- 2CPR and First Aid certification required.
- 3Knowledge of state licensing regulations for school-age care.
- 4Experience with parent communication and financial record keeping.
- 5Ability to pass a background check and TB test.
- 6Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- 7Excellent organizational skills for scheduling and reporting.
- 8Must be available to work before and after school hours.
- 9Self-directed with the ability to make quick, sound decisions in emergencies.
