Before and After School Site Director, Champions Pendergast
Overview
You will run the before and after school program at Pendergast Elementary School District, serving up to 100 children daily. You'll manage a team of 5-8 staff, implement the Champions curriculum, and ensure safety and licensing compliance. You'll partner with parents and district leaders to build community. This role offers full benefits at 25 hours per week, including a CDA credential fully funded, and paid federal holidays.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage daily operations of the before and after school program, ensuring safety and supervision of children from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- 2Lead a team of 5-8 staff, providing coaching and feedback to deliver engaging, curriculum-based activities.
- 3Build strong relationships with parents, encouraging family engagement through daily communication and events.
- 4Implement the Champions curriculum, adapting activities to inspire participation and learning.
- 5Ensure compliance with AZ Child Care Licensing requirements, maintaining documentation and staff qualifications.
- 6Coordinate with school administration and community partners to align program goals.
- 7Manage program budget, supplies, and enrollment to meet attendance targets.
- 8Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a clean, organized environment.
Requirements7
- 12+ years of childcare experience, with a Fingerprint Clearance Card (required).
- 2Meet one of these AZ licensing qualifications: Option a: 24 months experience + high school diploma + 6 credit hours in early childhood or 60 hours of related instruction + 12 hours in administration; Option b: 18 months experience + N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential or 24 credit hours including 6 in early childhood; Option c: 6 months experience + associate degree in early childhood; Option d: 3 months experience + bachelor's degree in early childhood.
- 3Availability to work a split shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, plus Wednesdays 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
- 4Experience supervising staff and managing program operations.
- 5Strong communication skills for parent and community engagement.
- 6Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing standards.
- 7Willingness to obtain CDA credential (fully funded by company).
