Site Director, After School Program Pittsburgh
Overview
Lead a school-based before and after school program for 5–12 year olds at Manchester Elementary in Pittsburgh. This on-site role oversees day-to-day program quality, staff supervision, and compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL requirements under a Regional Director. You will manage activities, safety, and family communication while operating within school hours. This position offers part-time, non-exempt hours with employer-paid childcare for your child.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build engaging activities across STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, and homework support to drive student outcomes
- 2Lead and supervise children and staff, including playground oversight and behavior management to maintain safe ratios
- 3Ship daily operations including attendance, registration, and scheduling to ensure a smooth program flow
- 4Own regulatory and licensing compliance by maintaining accurate files, attendance, and documentation for PA DHS/OCDEL
- 5Coordinate communications with families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office using the Playground App
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 1 year of experience with children under 13
- 2Bachelor's Degree with 30 credit hours in relevant fields plus 2 years of experience with children under 13
- 3Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 3 years of experience with children under 13
- 4Associate's Degree with 30 credit hours in relevant fields plus 4 years of experience with children under 13
- 5Must pass full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks
- 6Medically fit to perform duties including a clear TB test
- 7Strong leadership and communication skills
- 8Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs
