Overview
School Age Childcare Assistant at Minadeo Elementary School in Pittsburgh, PA. You will run before and after school programs for 30-40 children ages 5-12, leading Healthy Kids Curriculum activities in fitness, STEAM, and academics. What You'll Do8
- 1Lead hands-on activities from the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, and art sessions.
- 2Build a safe, engaging environment where children play, learn, and complete homework.
- 3Model positive behavior and guide social-emotional growth through daily interactions.
- 4Track attendance and maintain accurate records using Procare or similar tools.
- 5Collaborate with school staff and parents to support each child's needs.
- 6Enforce state licensing rules and Healthy Kids Programs policies consistently.
- 7Support snack setup, cleanup, and activity preparation each session.
- 8Step in for the Site Director when needed to keep operations running.
Requirements6
- 118+ years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 22+ years experience working with children under 13.
- 3Pass a full background check including fingerprinting and reference checks.
- 4Provide a TB clearance and medical clearance to lift up to 50 lbs.
- 5Communicate warmly with families and team members using clear English.
- 6Work split shifts from 7:00-9:30 AM and 3:30-6:00 PM on school days.
