Overview
Own shipping operations for a growing ecommerce business across Amazon FBA Walmart WFS and direct orders. Lead a 6–8 person team ensuring accurate, on time shipments and compliance with retailer requirements. Collaborate with Inventory Control to align outbound shipments with stock and manage carrier interactions to meet deadlines. This role blends hands on leadership with process discipline to drive performance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead a 6–8 person shipping team to meet weekly quotas and uphold discipline standards
- 2Oversee preparation and shipment of inventory to Amazon FBA fulfillment centers ensuring packaging labeling and shipping compliance
- 3Manage creation and submission of shipments to Walmart WFS per supplier standards
- 4Coordinate fulfillment of outbound customer orders ensuring accurate picking packing and on time shipping
- 5Assign daily tasks based on volume and priorities and monitor queues carrier pickups and deadlines
- 6Verify shipping labels packing slips and carrier selections for each shipment type
- 7Identify and resolve shipping errors delays or carrier issues escalating when needed
- 8Track team performance metrics and report to leadership on accuracy speed and error rates
- 9Maintain organized clean safe shipping area and manage stock of packing materials
- 10Collaborate with Inventory Control Specialist to align outbound shipments with stock availability
Requirements5
- 1experience with shipping platforms carrier portals and fulfillment systems such as Amazon Seller Central Walmart Supplier Center or similar
- 2detail oriented with zero tolerance for errors that could cause compliance issues or customer dissatisfaction
- 3strong communication skills to delegate tasks and coordinate with leadership
- 4reliable punctual and capable of leading by example
- 5physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 10–50+ lbs on a warehouse floor
