Service Technician, Automotive Diagnostics
Overview
You will diagnose and repair complex automotive systems across 13 dealership locations representing Lexus, Cadillac, Honda, Toyota, Genesis, and Hyundai. You will join a unionized team with ASE Certification required, backed by 50+ years of family ownership. Your diagnostic skills will drive first-visit accuracy and maintain our reputation for superior service. This role offers a clear path to master Toyota systems in a high-volume setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and OBD-II faults with advanced scan tools.
- 2Run full vehicle inspections to identify repair needs and preventive maintenance.
- 3Repair and replace components on Toyota, Lexus, Honda, and Hyundai models.
- 4Complete work orders on schedule, coordinating with service advisors and parts.
- 5Apply safety protocols and OSHA standards in all bay operations.
- 6Document diagnostics and repairs in dealer management systems.
- 7Calibrate ADAS systems after windshield or sensor replacements.
- 8Stay current on TSBs and factory bulletins for Toyota and Lexus.
Requirements7
- 1ASE Certification in A1-A8 required.
- 22+ years experience diagnosing CAN bus and OBD-II systems.
- 3Proficiency with Tekonsha and Rotunda diagnostic hardware.
- 41+ year working on Toyota or Lexus platforms preferred.
- 5Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand 8+ hours per shift.
- 6Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
- 7High school diploma or GED completion.
