What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose complex electrical, drivability, powertrain, transmission, network communication, and ADAS concerns using scan data and wiring diagrams.
- 2Perform electrical testing, including circuit, component, voltage-drop, parasitic-draw, and communication-network tests with digital multimeters.
- 3Follow diagnostic procedures and identify the correct repair path without trial-and-error parts replacement.
- 4Document diagnostic results, test findings, and recommended repairs in clear, accurate service records.
- 5Verify customer concerns and confirm repairs through post-repair testing with scan tools.
- 6Communicate findings with service advisors and assist team members with challenging diagnostic situations.
- 7Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work area.
- 8Use technical service information and diagnostic software to interpret manufacturer data.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of professional automotive diagnostic experience.
- 25+ years of experience with automotive electrical systems.
- 3Advanced knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
- 4Experience with professional scan tools, digital multimeters, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic software.
- 5Strong understanding of drivability, powertrain, transmission, and vehicle network systems.
- 6Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- 7ASE certifications are a plus.
