- 4Write detailed repair orders and review them with customers, using plain language.
- 5Keep your bay organized and tools calibrated, following OSHA safety standards.
- 6Mentor apprentice techs on electrical diagnostics and AC systems.
- 7Test road vehicles after repairs to verify performance and safety.
- 8Order parts through ShopMonkey and track inventory for common wear items.
Requirements8
- 13+ years experience as an automotive technician with hands-on diagnostic work.
- 2Proficiency with OBD-II scanners and multimeters for electrical diagnostics.
- 3Experience with brake systems, suspension components, and engine repair.
- 4Valid driver's license and clean driving record for road tests.
- 5Own your tool set with standard and metric wrenches, sockets, and specialty tools.
- 6ASE certification in Brakes or Engine Repair is preferred.
- 7Strong verbal communication to explain repairs to customers.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
