What You'll Do8

  • 3Tear down and rebuild engine components like timing belts and water pumps.
  • 4Write detailed repair orders and review them with customers, using plain language.
  • 5Keep your bay organized and tools calibrated, following OSHA safety standards.
  • 6Mentor apprentice techs on electrical diagnostics and AC systems.
  • 7Test road vehicles after repairs to verify performance and safety.
  • 8Order parts through ShopMonkey and track inventory for common wear items.

Requirements8

  • 13+ years experience as an automotive technician with hands-on diagnostic work.
  • 2Proficiency with OBD-II scanners and multimeters for electrical diagnostics.
  • 3Experience with brake systems, suspension components, and engine repair.
  • 4Valid driver's license and clean driving record for road tests.
  • 5Own your tool set with standard and metric wrenches, sockets, and specialty tools.
  • 6ASE certification in Brakes or Engine Repair is preferred.
