Service Technician, Automotive & Dealer Support
Overview
Automotive service professional will diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles at scale while maintaining strong relationships with customers. You will work with skilled teammates in a high-integrity shop that values honesty and continuous learning. This role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, clear communication, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. You’ll also mentor trainees and stay up to date with factory bulletins to maintain service excellence.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose vehicle issues with the shop team and foreman to plan repairs
- 2Discuss repairs with the service advisor and communicate additional service requests
- 3Plan work procedures with the foreman and provide labor time estimates
- 4Monitor repair progress and regularly update the service advisor
- 5Maintain compliance with dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- 6Complete documentation for client repairs and assist in mentoring technicians
- 7Attend company and factory training and stay current with factory tech bulletins
- 8Follow federal, state, and local regulations including hazardous waste disposal
- 9Support a positive customer experience to encourage repeat service
- 10Assist with hands-on training of trainee technicians
Requirements4
- 1High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- 21 to 3 months related training or experience, or equivalent combination
- 3Valid Operator Driver License
- 4State Inspection License
