Server/Cashier, Fast Casual Dining
Overview
You will own the front-of-house experience at Dave's Crunch House, taking orders, processing payments, and delivering standout service in a high-energy fast casual environment. You will work with the Aloha POS system, collaborate with kitchen staff, and keep the dining area spotless. This role offers 20 hours per week, flexible day or evening shifts, and paid training. You will build customer connection skills and learn upselling techniques that directly impact the restaurant's success.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet customers warmly and take food orders accurately using the Aloha POS system.
- 2Process cash and card transactions, making correct change and balancing your drawer.
- 3Recommend menu items and upsell to increase average ticket size.
- 4Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, checking temperatures and storage.
- 5Bus tables and reset the dining area to keep the floor clean and inviting.
- 6Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered on time.
- 7Resolve customer issues with professionalism, escalating only when needed.
- 8Learn and retain full menu knowledge, including ingredients and preparation methods.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in restaurant or retail customer service.
- 2Strong communication skills for customer interaction and team coordination.
- 3Basic math skills for cash handling and making change.
- 4Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems.
- 5Knowledge of food safety practices, including ServSafe certification.
- 6Ability to stand and move for 5+ hours per shift.
- 7Flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
