What You'll Do10
- 1Greet each guest within the first minute, confirm seating and preferences, and build rapport that drives repeat visits.
- 2Take accurate orders for food and drinks, entering them into the POS and confirming special requests with the kitchen station.
- 3Run all meals to the table, verifying quality and temperature before serving, and check back within two minutes for satisfaction.
- 4Suggest daily specials and dessert pairings, boosting average ticket size while matching each guest's taste.
- 5Reset tables in under three minutes, clearing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking condiments for the next seating.
- 6Process cash and card payments, balancing your drawer and handling tips at shift end with accuracy.
- 7Collaborate with the kitchen and fellow servers for smooth ticket flow, stepping in to expedite or bus when the rush peaks.
- 8Track refills for coffee, water, and soft drinks preemptively, cutting wait times and keeping tables full.
- 9Monitor the dining room for spills and clutter, cleaning as you go to uphold health and safety standards.
- 10Share feedback and tips during shift change, helping new team members learn the menu and house rules.
Requirements8
- 11+ years serving in a restaurant, diner, or fast-casual setting, with proven customer-facing skills.
- 2Food handling certification or ServSafe knowledge, with comfort applying sanitation protocols in a shared workspace.
- 3Ability to carry a 25-pound tray and stand for 8-hour shifts, moving constantly between kitchen and floor.
- 4Cash handling accuracy, including making change and settling tabs with a POS system.
- 5Schedule flexibility for Saturday and Sunday mornings, with the ability to trade shifts within the team.
- 6English fluency for clear order communication and guest interactions; bilingual is a plus.
- 7A team-first attitude, willing to bus, run, and reset without being asked, keeping the shift smooth.
