Overview
Server position at the Kansas City Airport Marriott in Kansas City MO. Own guest-facing service at scale, delivering warm, knowledgeable hospitality in a lobby and restaurant setting. What You'll Do10
- 1Build guest rapport and take accurate food and drink orders ensuring timely delivery
- 2Design and present items with attention to presentation and portion control
- 3Serve guests with a smile, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and uphold brand standards
- 4Assist with setting and rearranging tables to accommodate parties while preserving flow and safety
- 5Maintain clean service areas, tables, and dining spaces in accordance with health codes
- 6Handle guest concerns diplomatically and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
- 7Contribute to a smooth service by coordinating with kitchen and bar staff
- 8Follow all company SOPs and safety procedures during service
- 9Ensure accurate checks, payments, and cash handling per policy
- 10Support team with training and on-boarding of new servers and bussing
Requirements10
- 1High School diploma or equivalent
- 2Prior experience in hotel or restaurant settings, with familiarity of Marriott Hilton IHG Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards
- 3Commitment to regular attendance and ability to work varied schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- 4Strong communication skills for guest and team interactions
- 5Basic math skills for handling cash or card transactions
- 6Ability to read and write clearly for documentation and guest requests
- 7Problem solving and interpersonal skills to handle diverse guest needs
- 8Neat, clean, well-groomed appearance per company standards
- 9Willingness to comply with all hotel safety and health regulations
- 10Positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional guest service
