Overview
Concierge at the Kansas City Airport Marriott will own guest greeting, information delivery, and service recovery for a high‑volume hotel. You will support breakfast operations, manage the buffet setup, and ensure clean, well stocked serving areas at all times. You will collaborate with front desk and night audit to coordinate meeting room needs and guest requests, delivering a memorable stay at scale.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build guest rapport with a friendly, professional greeting and quick stay inquiry within five minutes of arrival
- 2Design and maintain breakfast buffet setup and replenishment to support smooth service and guest satisfaction
- 3Lead guest interactions by listening, empathizing, apologizing when needed, and offering solutions to issues
- 4Drive problem solving and policy explanations to guests while relaying feedback to the front desk and manager
- 5Ship timely inventory and supplies to ensure minimal waste and well stocked condiments
- 6Host the breakfast area and meeting rooms, performing ongoing replenishments and cleanliness checks
- 7Scale cleanliness standards by inspecting glassware, china, and service ware for damage and ensuring clean serving areas
- 8Own incident reporting to management and proper handling of safety and health regulations
- 9Guide guests with hotel amenities information and accurate local recommendations
- 10Ensure compliance with health inspections and safety procedures during all food and beverage operations
Requirements8
- 1Ability to stand for the shift and lift up to 30 lbs
- 2Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- 3Availability for up to 40 hours per week including nights, weekends, holidays
- 4Prior experience in guest services or hospitality preferred
- 5Attention to detail in maintaining clean serving areas and stocked buffets
- 6Good communication skills and teamwork mindset
- 7Flexibility to support varied shifts and overtime as needed
- 8Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food service
