Overview
As a Server at Red Robin, you own the guest experience from first greeting to final check, delivering food and drinks with accuracy and speed. You take orders on POS handheld devices, manage a section of 6-10 tables in a high-volume, full-service environment, and drive sales through suggestive selling. You are part of a Front of House team that values connection and fun, backed by a brand known for bottomless steak fries. What You'll Do9
- 1Greet guests within 30 seconds of seating and take beverage orders using the POS handheld.
- 2Enter food orders accurately into the POS system, confirming modifications and allergies.
- 3Deliver food and drinks to tables within 5 minutes of pickup, checking for quality and temperature.
- 4Refill beverages and check back within 2 minutes of food delivery to ensure satisfaction.
- 5Process guest payments, operate the POS cash drawer, and issue correct change.
- 6Set and reset tables with clean silverware, napkins, and condiments to maintain service standards.
- 7Upsell appetizers, desserts, and bottomless fries to boost average check size.
- 8Coordinate with kitchen and bartender to time courses and resolve order issues.
- 9Handle guest complaints with empathy and escalate to management when needed.
Requirements8
- 118+ years old per state law for serving alcohol.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 36+ months of server or food service experience in a restaurant.
- 4Ability to carry a 10-lb tray and stand for 8-hour shifts.
- 5Strong verbal communication and memory for orders.
- 6Basic math skills for cash and credit card transactions.
- 7Availability for weekend and holiday shifts.
- 8Food handler or alcohol server certification per local requirements.
