What You'll Do11

  • 1Collaborate with radiologists to perform diagnostic sonographic exams and interpret anatomical findings
  • 2Exercise professional judgment to ensure patient comfort and procedure success
  • 3Deliver precise patient identification and clinical history documentation
  • 4Position patients and equipment to achieve optimal image quality for interpretation
  • 5Assess diagnostic images for technical quality and proper patient identification
  • 6Adhere to quality control standards and participate in all QC tasks
  • 7Administer medical aid during emergencies and apply standard precautions
  • 8Supervise student sonographers and train new hires in sonography techniques
  • 9Utilize corporate radiology systems to manage patient workflows
  • 10Ensure customer safety and maintain clean work areas and equipment
  • 11Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and federal regulations

Requirements8

  • 1One year of sonography experience with expertise in routine and complex procedures
  • 2Knowledge of invasive ultrasound techniques such as biopsies and amniocentesis
  • 3Proficiency in Doppler 3D/4D and pediatric sonography modalities
  • 4Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential through ARDMS
  • 5Current BLS and Healthcare Provider certification
  • 6Minimum two ARDMS registries relevant to the department
  • 75+ years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging
  • 8Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
