What You'll Do11
- 1Collaborate with radiologists to perform diagnostic sonographic exams and interpret anatomical findings
- 2Exercise professional judgment to ensure patient comfort and procedure success
- 3Deliver precise patient identification and clinical history documentation
- 4Position patients and equipment to achieve optimal image quality for interpretation
- 5Assess diagnostic images for technical quality and proper patient identification
- 6Adhere to quality control standards and participate in all QC tasks
- 7Administer medical aid during emergencies and apply standard precautions
- 8Supervise student sonographers and train new hires in sonography techniques
- 9Utilize corporate radiology systems to manage patient workflows
- 10Ensure customer safety and maintain clean work areas and equipment
- 11Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and federal regulations
Requirements8
- 1One year of sonography experience with expertise in routine and complex procedures
- 2Knowledge of invasive ultrasound techniques such as biopsies and amniocentesis
- 3Proficiency in Doppler 3D/4D and pediatric sonography modalities
- 4Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential through ARDMS
- 5Current BLS and Healthcare Provider certification
- 6Minimum two ARDMS registries relevant to the department
- 75+ years of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging
- 8Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
