Overview

We seek a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide compassionate patient care.

What You'll Do21

  • 1Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols
  • 2Prepare and position patients appropriately for each examination
  • 3Review physician orders patient history and required documentation before performing studies
  • 4Produce high-quality diagnostic images and verify completeness before submission
  • 5Assist physicians and radiologists during procedures as needed
  • 6Educate patients and family members regarding the ordered examination
  • 7Provide age-appropriate care to neonatal pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients
  • 8Present completed images to radiologists and communicate urgent findings
  • 9Document communications with physicians when necessary
  • 10Perform equipment quality assurance and calibration procedures
  • 11Maintain ultrasound equipment rooms and accessories in clean safe condition
  • 12Identify and report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department
  • 13Maintain adequate department supplies and assist with ordering
  • 14Review previous imaging studies and reports when appropriate
  • 15Process imaging CDs or printed images when requested
  • 16Coordinate patient transportation to and from clinical units
  • 17Provide professional courteous service to patients families and clinical staff
  • 18Serve as an instructor or preceptor when assigned
  • 19Support emergency procedures and additional department coverage
  • 20Participate in on-call holiday overtime evening or overnight coverage
  • 21Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements9

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2Completion of an accredited or certified Ultrasound program
  • 3Current ARDMS registration upon hire
  • 4American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of hire
  • 5One to three years of Ultrasound Technologist experience
  • 6Previous hospital-based sonography experience
  • 7Experience assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures
  • 8Experience working with patients across the lifespan
  • 9Previous preceptor or clinical training experience

$108 - $129k per year
