What You'll Do11
- 1Perform complex specialty exams and intraop ultrasound guided procedures venous insufficiency studies AV optimization
- 2Identify and manage clinical problems affecting exam outcomes
- 3Provide expert patient communication during procedures
- 4Oversee EMR workflows patient tracking and documentation accuracy
- 5Manage disinfection processes using glutaraldehyde or hydrogen peroxide systems
- 6Coordinate equipment maintenance repairs and inventory with engineering IT and vendors
- 7Lead performance‑improvement initiatives quality assurance and compliance documentation
- 8Support policy development review and implementation
- 9Provide training mentorship to technologists students nurses fellows and other team members
- 10Serve as clinical resource for complex anatomy pathology and advanced ultrasound techniques
- 11Use analytical skills to determine optimal imaging strategies and appropriate modality selection
Requirements7
- 1Certification -@@##BLS from the American Heart Association upon start
- 2American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT RT(S)
- 3American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS with at least two sonography specialties
- 4Registered Vascular Technologist RVT Registered Vascular Specialist RVS or Vascular Sonographer VS
- 5Licensure none required
- 6Experience – 5 years of experience in a hospital healthcare environment performing specialized diagnostic medical sonography
- 7Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography with ARRT ARDMS RDMS or RVT registration
