Overview

Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technologist will own non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging at scale within a high-acuity center. You will perform echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and stress tests while supporting interventional imaging in cath lab environments. You’ll collaborate with physicians and the broader team to drive accurate diagnostics and patient safety. What You'll Do8

  • 1Build comprehensive cardiovascular imaging workflows including echocardiograms, Doppler studies, and stress tests to evaluate cardiac function and anatomy
  • 2Assist with interventional radiology procedures such as cardiac catheterizations providing optimal image guidance throughout interventions
  • 3Monitor vital signs and data to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy during imaging procedures
  • 4Maintain strict aseptic technique and equipment sterility in invasive or semi-invasive procedures within the cath lab
  • 5Interpret initial ultrasound images and prepare detailed reports for physician review to support diagnostic processes
  • 6Collaborate with the medical team to evaluate patient conditions using sonography telemetry and clinical observations
  • 7Ensure imaging equipment is calibrated maintained and used in compliance with safety protocols in high-acuity environments
  • 8Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and patient care standards

Requirements7

  • 1Proven experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures with proficiency in sonography techniques
  • 2Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation methods related to cardiology
  • 3Familiarity with interventional cardiology procedures such as cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology techniques
  • 4Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and implement aseptic techniques during invasive procedures
  • 5Experience working in cath labs or high-acuity trauma centers is highly desirable
  • 6Knowledge of telemetry monitoring systems and emergency medicine protocols for rapid response situations
  • 7RDCS certification or equivalent credential preferred with ongoing education in interventional radiology or cardiology
