What You'll Do6

  • 1Perform General, Vascular, and Echocardiogram scans on patients, ensuring precise image capture.
  • 2Record patient history and vital signs, then prepare patients by explaining the procedure and answering questions.
  • 3Position patients and adjust ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images of cardiac structures and blood flow.
  • 4Analyze images for abnormalities and document preliminary findings for physician review.
  • 5Collaborate with physicians to interpret results and refine diagnostic evaluations.
  • 6Maintain accurate patient records and procedure logs, following aseptic techniques to ensure safety.

Requirements7

  • 11+ year hands-on experience in cardiac sonography or vascular ultrasound.
  • 2Proficiency in echocardiography and general ultrasound imaging techniques.
  • 3In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • 4Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and how they relate to imaging.
  • 5Strong attention to detail when identifying image abnormalities.
  • 6Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • 7Certification as RDCS or RCS is preferred but not required.
