Senior Trim Engineering Manager
Overview
Lead technical direction for trim design and development across seating business units. Own trim engineering processes and budgets while ensuring alignment with product performance and cost objectives. Drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality seat and foam engineering solutions.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead trim product development for seating business unit
- 2Lead trim design reviews and open issues meetings
- 3Ensure trim best practices and processes are applied appropriately
- 4Design trim patterns aligned with foam interface templates
- 5Maintain strong working knowledge of trim cover construction process
- 6Coach principles of 2D pattern design using Optitex and Lectra
- 7Provide engineering solutions based on data driven problem solving
- 8Develop and implement trim design solutions meeting quality cost and craftsmanship objectives
- 9Support complete seat build events
- 10Recommend solutions to process issues within sew and JIT facilities
- 11Approve trim changes and deviations in PLM and TPDM systems
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2B.S. in Engineering
- 310-15 years of trim product development experience
- 4Experience with Optitex and Lectra
- 5Knowledge of trim design tools and manufacturing processes
