Overview
Lead development and validation of steering wheel and driver airbag products pre and post SoP. Collaborate with cross functional teams and external partners to ensure manufacturability and customer satisfaction. Drive design to meet 1P1P expectations.
What You'll Do8
- 1Negotiate styling with customers versus Autoliv standards
- 2Validate designs locally while launching global programs
- 3Balance manufacturability with customer needs
- 4Apply tolerance stack and GD&T on drawings
- 5Interpret CAE results and solve problems
- 6Work with CFT members across divisional and global locations
- 7Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- 8Design and validate products according to specifications

- 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2Technical leadership
- 3Verbal and written communication
- 4Proficiency with Design/CAD
- 5Tolerance stack analysis
- 6Understanding of manufacturing processes like die cast and injection molding
- 7Ability to interpret CAE results
- 8Problem solving skills
- 9Experience with GD&T applications
- 10Knowledge of assembly and manufacturing techniques
