Overview

Veolia seeks a Senior Technical Manager - Technical Expertise to lead technical projects within the Hazardous waste BU. This role drives technical expertise and business support while supporting operations development and innovation. The ideal candidate brings strong environmental technical background combined with business acumen and project management experience.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide technical and performance support to the Hazardous waste BU
  • 2Participate in development of business cases and memos for internal GoNoGo processes
  • 3Offer overall direction and management of assigned projects including personnel equipment and subcontractors
  • 4Ensure projects align with schedule quality and budget constraints
  • 5Lead technical due diligence for acquisitions or plant upgrades
  • 6Assist Business Development with estimates and project planning focusing on operational efficiencies
  • 7Develop new process optimizations or pilot new technologies in collaboration with corporate functions
  • 8Test and implement new tools developed by other departments
  • 9Work with T&P members to organize reporting and delivery
  • 10Travel approximately 25 percent of the time across hazardous waste locations
  • 11Drive integration of technical solutions with broader business objectives

Requirements11

  • 15+ years experience in technical/support functions or operational roles
  • 2Bachelor's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
  • 3Master's in Chemical Engineering an asset
  • 4Hazardous/industrial waste treatment experience
  • 5Industrial wastewater treatment background
  • 6Oil or solvent recovery expertise
  • 7Project Management experience
  • 8Knowledge of PSM and change management methodologies
  • 9Commitment to Veolia values of integrity openness trust accountability and excellence
  • 10Driving license required
  • 11Professional Engineer License an asset
