Overview

You will own the customer fulfillment process for hazardous waste services at Veolia, coordinating the full cycle from waste profile creation to post-shipment verification. Working onsite in Los Angeles, you will support commercial and industrial clients, ensuring RCRA and DOT compliance while partnering with internal teams and third-party TSDFs. Your role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and customer service, requiring you to balance regulatory precision with client satisfaction. Unlike a typical customer service role, this position grants you autonomy to resolve complex waste issues and shape the fulfillment experience for a top environmental company.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Own the customer service experience for assigned branch territories, acting as the primary point of contact and coordinating the full service cycle.
  • 2Coordinate internal and external communications across multiple teams to ensure seamless customer and technical service delivery.
  • 3Analyze and resolve customer service and technical issues, planning effective solutions and facilitating their implementation.
  • 4Create Waste Information Profiles (WIPs) ensuring compliance with RCRA and DOT regulations.
  • 5Manage the waste approval process with internal teams and third-party TSDFs, selecting cost-effective treatment methods that meet customer-approved facilities and technologies.
  • 6Oversee job and ticket creation for service requests, generating detailed work orders that enable accurate execution by operations teams.
  • 7Review post-shipment documentation to verify WIPs and approvals, resolving discrepancies to ensure TSDF acceptance and accurate invoicing.
  • 8Support quoting for new service categories and collaborate with the billing team on customer invoices.
  • 9Assist with additional incoming customer requests and duties as assigned by the Customer Excellence Manager.

Requirements8

  • 11+ years of experience in customer service, fulfillment, or a related field, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2Preferred degree in science, mathematics, or business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3Proven customer relationship and management skills, focused on meeting client needs efficiently.
  • 4Strong understanding of waste management and disposal, with hazardous waste knowledge preferred.
  • 5High attention to detail and organizational skills, able to follow standardized processes.
  • 6Ability to work collaboratively across functions and secure help from colleagues.
  • 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 8Willingness to complete Veolia required training and certifications.
