What You'll Do9
- 1Sample waste streams using EPA protocols to classify hazardous materials.
- 2Manifest and label hazardous waste shipments per DOT regulations.
- 3Package waste for transport and coordinate logistics with carriers.
- 4Respond to spills and conduct clean-up operations using HAZWOPER procedures.
- 5Load and unload waste containers, ensuring proper segregation and handling.
- 6Maintain equipment and vehicles to operational standards.
- 7Communicate with clients to resolve waste disposal questions and issues.
- 8Complete and submit required paperwork for EPA and DOT compliance.
- 9Follow VES-TS policies for health, safety, and environmental protection.
Requirements8
- 1High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
- 240-hour HAZWOPER Certification required.
- 3Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain Class A or B CDL with Hazardous endorsement.
- 41+ year experience in hazardous waste handling or environmental services.
- 5Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- 6Time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.
- 7Customer service orientation and computer proficiency.
- 8Ability to follow through on assignments and work independently.
