Overview

You will own safe pickup, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste across assigned routes for Veolia, the largest environmental company in North America. What You'll Do10

  • 1Transport waste safely and legally per all DOT, state, and local regulations, using CDL A or CDL B vehicles.
  • 2Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests and work orders for every shipment.
  • 3Schedule inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with customers and internal teams.
  • 4Operate tractor trailer for roll-off box pickup and drop-off, including end dump and van trailer tasks.
  • 5Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers for storage and shipment.
  • 6Conduct lab pack operations, packing small chemical containers into larger DOT-compliant containers.
  • 7Process Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading, and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) per state, EPA, and DOT rules.
  • 8Perform pre-trip inspections, report spills or incidents immediately, and resolve leaking containers to maintain safety compliance.
  • 9Load and unload materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or other heavy equipment, following routing documents and supervisor instructions.
  • 10Complete warehouse housekeeping and other assigned duties, with occasional overnights required.

Requirements10

  • 12+ years of similar driving experience for CDL A drivers.
  • 2Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement for CDL A roles.
  • 3Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements for CDL B roles.
  • 4High school diploma or GED.
  • 5Must be at least 21 years old for CDL A positions.
  • 6Ability to drive a manual transmission (no restrictions) for CDL A.
  • 7Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) for CDL B drivers.
  • 8Preferred: Tanker and Airbrake Endorsements (or obtain within 90 days at company expense).
  • 9Preferred: Knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and DOT rules; waste industry experience a plus.
  • 10Pass DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check.
