Overview
Drive for a family-owned industrial energy services company moving goods across the energy sector. CDL Class A drivers haul hazardous and non-hazardous materials for oil, gas, and petrochemical clients. What You'll Do7
- 1Conduct pre/post trip inspections per state and federal rules, catching issues before they become breakdowns.
- 2Operate Class A vehicles to transport goods over short and long distances, maintaining safety and efficiency.
- 3Follow DOT regulations and company safety practices to keep every load compliant.
- 4Maintain logs and records under DOT Hours of Service rules, using electronic or paper logs accurately.
- 5Complete daily paperwork, including delivery documentation and inspection reports.
- 6Load and unload cargo as needed, securing loads to prevent shifting during transit.
- 7Communicate with dispatchers and customers to confirm schedules and delivery points.
Requirements8
- 1Hold a valid Class A CDL with no major violations on the MVR.
- 2Secure a TWIC Card within 30 days of hiring (preferred but not required).
- 3Pass a DOT physical and obtain a DOT medical card before starting.
- 4Meet DOT substance abuse testing and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- 5Show a clean criminal record with no felonies or failed drug screens.
- 6Lift up to 60 pounds and handle frequent sitting, bending, push/pull, and walking.
- 7Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for delivery coordination.
- 8Maintain logs and records daily, meeting all DOT record-keeping standards.
