CDL A Tanker Driver - Regional
Overview
Drive for a family-owned chemical transporter, moving bulk liquids across 49 states and Canada in late-model tankers. You own the route and the load, from pre-trip inspection to safe delivery. CDL A and Tanker Endorsement open the door. The team runs 10+ terminals with a focus on safety over speed, and you get home every 3-5 days. What You'll Do7
- 1Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid chemicals and petroleum.
- 2Load and unload product using hoses, pumps, and valves following strict safety protocols.
- 3Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues.
- 4Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT and EPA.
- 5Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers, relaying updates and resolving issues.
- 6Adhere to all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines, including HM 232 and 49 CFR 172.
- 7Represent Altom during customer interactions with professionalism and safety focus.
Requirements7
- 1Valid CDL Class A license with current X endorsement (Hazmat + Tanker).
- 2Tanker Endorsement (N) required; Hazmat Endorsement (H) preferred or obtained within 90 days.
- 3TWIC Card preferred or obtained after hire.
- 42+ years of verifiable tanker driving experience within the last 5 years.
- 5At least 23 years of age.
- 6Clean MVR with no DUI/OWI in last 5 years.
- 7No at-fault fatal or rollover accident in last 5 years, no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
