What You'll Do9

  • 1Manage the special inspections team, including Inspectors, Schedulers, and Project Managers, across all 5 boroughs.
  • 2Dispatch qualified inspectors for special inspections, ensuring proper documentation in DOBnow reports.
  • 3Review and issue inspection reports to clients, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • 4Build and adjust the daily special inspections schedule, balancing field and office priorities.
  • 5Prepare monthly invoices and support project closeout procedures.
  • 6Complete and submit TRs in DOBnow, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • 7Maintain weekly inspection logs and track team performance metrics.
  • 8Sign off in DOBnow and coordinate with project managers to enforce procedures.
  • 9Drive continuous improvement in inspection methodologies and reporting standards.

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • 27+ years conducting special inspections and managing a team.
  • 3Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 4ICC or CWI certifications required.
  • 5Hands-on experience using DOBnow and signing off TRs.
  • 6Deep familiarity with technical inspection criteria and NYC building codes.
  • 7Proven ability to manage project closeout and documentation workflows.
