What You'll Do11
- 1Own daily revenue accounting process including deferred revenue returns refunds and promotional discounts
- 2Perform monthly revenue reconciliations across sales channels and payment processors
- 3Prepare and analyze COGS and inventory journal entries and cut-off procedures
- 4Analyze revenue and margin variances providing actionable explanations to management
- 5Partner with Sales Operations and Payment Processing teams for accurate revenue coding
- 6Prepare workpapers and schedules for 10-Q and 10-K filings
- 7Support external audits by delivering audit-ready documentation
- 8Execute close activities including general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- 9Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls for revenue processes
- 10Identify process improvements to streamline revenue and COGS close
- 11Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 24-6 years progressive accounting experience including public accounting
- 3Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
- 4Experience in eCommerce retail inventory-driven businesses
- 5Hands-on experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
- 6Familiarity with NetSuite ERP systems
- 7Advanced Excel skills with large datasets
- 8Audit support experience with external auditors
- 9Attention to detail and strong communication skills
- 10Bonus CPA certification preferred
- 11Experience with chargeback returns or promotional accounting
