Senior Project Manager Rand Construction
Overview
Senior Project Manager leading project delivery in Charlotte market. This role requires complete technical knowledge of construction processes focusing on quality client satisfaction and organizational leadership. The position involves managing multiple teams of project managers project engineers and superintendents.
What You'll Do18
- 1Develop and track leads on upcoming projects with new clients
- 2Build relationships and networking to acquire business from new clients
- 3Collaborate with marketing department to create written narrative for pre-qualification and bid packages
- 4Participate in budget creation with estimating and accept responsibility for profitability and constructability
- 5Ensure all contracts and subcontracts are executed and resolve any contract issues
- 6Manage workload and capacity for each project team aligning with client requirements
- 7Manage multiple teams and complex projects while maintaining financial discipline adhering to schedule and quality
- 8Create all project objectives and milestones
- 9Lead internal staff meetings with PM teams to ensure financial and schedule compliance
- 10Assist with resolving RFIs and managing communication flow for complex issues
- 11Maintain subcontractor relations for each project especially large complex ones
- 12Enforce project budgets required to manage PM teams
- 13Review financial project reports for team performance
- 14Negotiate issue and execute change orders for complex time sensitive matters
- 15Responsible for teams as they close out projects
- 16Mentor train and develop Project Engineers Project Managers and Superintendents
- 17Perform staff evaluations and disciplinary actions
- 18Participate in candidate interviews as required
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- 210-12+ years’ experience managing commercial construction projects as a Project Manager with a General Contractor
- 3Graduate degree preferred
- 4Complete technical knowledge of construction process focusing on quality client satisfaction and organizational leadership
- 5Ability to manage multiple teams and complex projects simultaneously
- 6Expert knowledge of principles of architecture engineering and construction
- 7Mastery of financial terms and principles
- 8Finely tuned negotiating and political skills
- 9Strong ability to build motivate and manage a complex team
- 10Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- 11Proven experience with project management software tools
- 12Excellent written and verbal communication skills
